The “St. Petersburg theatre seasons” – is a large-scale international cultural project, annually presenting the art, that was engendered in Saint Petersburg, at the leading world stages. The “Seasons” program – is a representation of all the most vivid, that has happened in the culture of the Northern capital within a year: theatrical performances of various genres and directions, performances, exhibitions. For the last thirteen festivals, twenty-seven Petersburg theatres met with the audiences from Prague, Berlin, Tel-Aviv, Marseilles, Milan, Athens, and many other cities.

During the pandemic period, the festival goes online, so that the festival, in spite of the locked borders, can preserve the connection between the countries and remain a “theatrical window to Europe”. The online version also presents new opportunities – for the first time the “St. Petersburg theatre seasons” will be available for the residents of the regions of Russia. 

The repertoire of the “St. Petersburg theatre seasons” ranges from traditional to experimental performances. From 14th to 22nd November 2020 spectators from Russia and Europe will be enjoying live streaming of theatrical performances, workshops of leading professionals in the field of theatrical art, recitals, and an international online-conference on the contemporary theatrical issues.
